For nearly three decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of touring productions, festival leadership and regional cultural strategy designing and delivering live experiences that strengthen communities, grow tourism and bring world‑class entertainment to audiences across Australia and beyond.
My career has taken me from theatres and arenas to regional towns, world class theme parks and major cultural destinations. Whether I’m leading a festival, producing a touring show or shaping long‑term event strategy for councils and tourism bodies, my focus is always the same: create experiences that matter creatively, culturally and economically.
What I specialise in:
Touring Shows: Developing, producing and touring large‑scale live productions with strong creative identity and technical excellence.
Festivals & EVENTS: Executive leadership, programming, creative direction and stakeholder engagement for major events and multi‑day festivals.
Regional Cultural Strategy: Helping communities and councils transform events into tourism drivers, economic catalysts and long‑term cultural assets.
I operate from a fully equipped remote production office in Central NSW, with fast access to both regional and major airports for any fly‑in or fly‑out requirements. This model allows me to deliver high‑level creative, technical and strategic capability anywhere in Australia while keeping overheads low for the organisations I support.
Engaging Brendan Shipley Productions on a project basis gives organisations the benefit of a Senior Entertainment Professional and subject‑matter expert without the financial requirement of a full‑time employee. There are no ongoing salaries, superannuation, leave loading, office space, equipment or internal resource costs just targeted expertise when you need it, and only for the duration you require.
